“When grapes are grown, the winemakers purposely stress them out by depriving them of water and giving them an over abundance of sunshine. this weeds out the weak ones only the strongest and best survive. those are the grapes that make the finest wines…. the greatest love, survives the harshest conditions – and surviving that turmoil is what makes a marriage strong.”
The very first time Henry met Miranda was 7-8 years back when they were very young. Henry told me passionately and with love how he saw Miranda for the very first time at his aunt’s home. Where he wanted to go into the restroom and see Miranda for the very first time when he entered the bedroom just to cross to get to the restroom. Struck and silence.
They continued their lives in separate ways. Miranda went to Beijing to continue her studies and Henry went back to Indonesia from SF and to embrace his career chance. It was two years ago that somebody passed away that Henry needed to go back to Medan to mourn. That’s how he met Miranda, again.
Henry made the first move, he was quite straightforward toward Miranda of his purpose. Miranda likes the gentleman Henry! The connection starts to spark!
Henry & Miranda is the kind of couple who really loves to tease each other a lot. Henry loves to bully Miranda in such a fun way that I could see Miranda laughs everyday she spends her days with Henry. They were blessed with love and warmth.
When they decided to trust me with their engagement portraits, I couldn’t be any more excited! We went back to Henry’s youth hometown, San Francisco. Beside of the love and the fun that we shared, a big unfortunate we never manage to get the shoot of the Golden Gate bridge. We just don’t have the luxury of time to wait for the Mr. FOG to reveal the Golden Gate. It was such a huge disappointment. However, we did went to the Botanical Garden and found amazing, bizarre plants to shoot! We paid a visit to the museum Legion of honor and my personal favorite is the Nappa Valley.
A very, very spacious vineyard and amazing wines. We picked the Robert Mondavi winery for a quick tour and a quick engagement shot. You won’t imagine how feisty we are during the tour.
