Jillian had absolutely no idea that March 24th, 2013 would be the day of her proposal. Yansen had all but convinced her that something was up for that day. She fell for the ruse completely.
Yansen had plans to meet us at Roland’s and before that he visited University of North Sumatra (USU), where he and Jillian met for the first time. Yansen had this planned since two weeks ago when he called me and asked me whether I could help out. I was overjoyed to involve in and take a small part in one of their biggest days. Four days before the proposal, we went to visit USU to plan out where I could hide and shoot them during the proposal, but nearly do we know there was a bazaar coming on in the near few days. Come to a thinking, it would seem that the universe was conspiring to make this day nearly perfect. Even the rain was kept to a minimum. Every encounter was perfect, the bazaar ended one day before the proposal, and the clouds kept the temperatures from being too oppressive.
Arriving at USU, Yansen brought her to the first place they met. His nerves must have kicked into overdrive. On one knee and unclasping the ring to slip on her finger, Yansen proposed Jillian. The whole universe cheered. I could see she was alternating between smiling, shaking and crying.
Grow old together, the best is yet to be.
