Portrait of a Ballerina

I’ve always wanted to shoot something related to a ballet. It’s timeless classic mood attracts me in certain way that I make it as a personal goal to create something visually with it. When my colleague at Sheerss inform me that she met a ballerina that might be perfect for this project, I jumped in straight away.

When Wenny agreed to do this shot, I couldn’t be more excited. She is a ballerina herself, and she teaches ballet too. It’s perfect! A real character I said to myself. Let’s make it like a “Black Swan” movie thing, I think it will be a great theme. She agreed too and it don’t take long before we hit the studio.

This set wouldn’t be complete without the wardrobe from talented designer Leeney Phan who create this beautiful dress and Alex Exjo for the epic makeup. I thank you both. But especially Wenny who dance flawlessly and pose beautifully during our photo session. This set is dedicated to all ballerina out there dancing with their heart.
