Have you ever wonder, if you could just jump in a time machine and shoot your own wedding? Like a children and his playful mind, i can arrange things the way I like shoot things the way I want, because I’m shooting myself.
Silly mind.
Doing this (shooting weddings) for the last four or five years, I start to think differently from the time when I start. I used to be an eager boy, running here and there capturing every moment the most artistic way I could. Like a monkey in a wedding, I often got in a way of a wedding. It shouldn’t. I think the industry has shaped me well, now I started to find my pace, my style, my time.
And it felt better this way.
Back to the question of capturing my own wedding, well that’s basically how I shoot a wedding today. I need the story told right. I need my client to have the day of their life without too much interferences from the photographer. I’m there to witness, and get paid to documenting things as they happen. I’m starting to put myself as a good friend with a camera attending a wedding, the real good one that I can get close enough to capture it beautifully. Do I like what I’m doing now? I don’t know. It’s for you to judge. Besides, I’m just trying to shoot each wedding as if it’s my own. My way.
