While I always love working with all my clients, it’s hard not to play favorite when it comes to this couple – Eric & Christine. He’s the friend that I could talk to for hours about our common interests: F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Modern Family, even stupid childhood superheroes Goban, while she is the girlfriend that always jokingly complains about it.
Besides the fact that Eric and I are good buddies, there is also something in them that makes me appreciate their relationship in different lights. It reminds me of how love is about taking the extra distance, despite all the differences or challenges that might occur.
Love is not in the big gestures of romance, but rather the every tiny details of your actions. Relationships foster because of the efforts the two people put in, rather than having perfection fall neatly into your laps.
Eric and Christine always click in many different ways. Some call it fate, but I’d rather see it as the culmination of their years mastering the learning curves, appreciating each other’s quirks, and coming together as one.
Love is messy and at times, hard. As messy and hard as when Eric and I stepped into the yacht for our photo session and struggled for our lives despite the many anti-sickness remedies we took prior. But love is worth it, as priceless as the memory they shared in the Bali prewedding session with Sheerss and of course, in their future life as husband and wife.
