Some weddings are intimate; some are super festive. For Nico and Thasia, it was definitely both.
Following the story of their random yet magical love encounter, I finally arrived at the most anticipated day for Nico, Thasia and their friends and family : their wedding day. All dolled up, the bride spent some time with her bridesmaids for some fun and friendly photoshoot before parading off to go about their day.
Paying homage to their Batak heritage, the family ceremony was already expected to be endearing, intimate and emotional. Still, I was blown away by how touching the whole event for everyone, leaving no room for dry eyes in the house.
When the time came for the evening reception, it’s safe to say that Nico and Thasia went all out in honoring their guests. The lavish ballroom was decorated with extra glam and festivity, above and beyond. I’m talking about lush blooms in full force, hanging crystals, super gorgeous three-tiered wedding cake, and top Indonesia entertainers flew in as the main show.
Inspired by the Frozen Fantasy that’s icy and sparkly, the reception was far from the definition of cold. In fact, it’s one of the warmest and liveliest parties I’ve ever documented. Our prince and princess of the hour looked absolutely dashing and flawless as they took each other in cozy embrace all through the night.
A night like the wedding of Nico and Thasia for sure has to go down as one of the most epic weddings of the year. We’re thankful to have been able to capture their journey, from their prewedding to finally, their coming together as husband and wife. Honored for the chance, and would love to do it all over again.
